Office Africa – December 2016

Hello There…

The Festive Season is a time where families come together after a long year to spend quality time together; each member of the ours is currently with their respective families for the holidays. Since the Shenton Safaris family began this journey in 1993; we have been working steadily to redefine the safari experience and we now look forward to the time which lies ahead, mindful and incredibly grateful for the wonderful year that was 2016. We are thankful to each and every one of you for the extraordinary support you have given to Shenton Safaris and for your vital contribution to our journey. We thank also our loyal friends in the trade, past and present guests and most particularly those who, year on year, return in increasing numbers on their safari pilgrimage to Shenton Safaris – their home away from home in the South Luangwa National Park.

We’ll leave you with one of our favourite quotes, and some of the smiling faces that have traveled through our camps in 2016.

“It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living.”

#ThrowBackThursday

As you know, next year is Shenton Safaris’ 25 year anniversary, 25 years of unforgettable wildlife expereinces that you have shared with us! In honour of this we’re compiling a gallery of #ThrowBackThursday25YRS. What does this mean? We’re collecting photographs from 1993 onwards from past guests and reliving those magical moments of the past; Derek’s short-shorts, Pat as a young guide… have you got some photos sitting in a photo album? Please share them with us!

Send us your footage…

If you have some magical images or video (taken with us) which illustrate how you felt #NourishedByNature during your safari with us that you’d like to share, please send them, along with a short “because” sentence, which describes how that experience made you feel. At the end of the season we will select the top 50 to create a beautiful montage of the year’s most inspiring content. There is no limit to the number of images/videos you can submit so keep them coming! These galleries will be updated frequently with new content so please check back whenever you feel a yearning to be #NourishedByNature, e-mail your entry to info@kaingo.com.

The Picture of the Month selection is the most liked image from our #NourishedByNature campaign. We’ve tallied which of the images have gotten the most likes across all of our social media platforms and the winning photo is below.
