After the death of Ringo https://www.shentonsafaris.com/blog/every-king-one-day-falls/
The Mwamba Kaingo pride was left with only one male to guard and protect them from other males looking to take over a pride for themselves. We saw the remaining male lion the day we closed.
He seemed to be content feeding on a dead hippo alone but one cant help but feel that he could be feeling slightly vulnerable as his brother was certainly the more dominant of the two.
It will be fascinating to see what has unfolded in our absence. We can only hope that he is strong enough to hold his territory alone without his brother and protect his pride should intruders arrive.
….at least until the more vulnerable younger members of the pride are able to fend for themselves.
