Hi there!

Congratulations to Jules and Derek Shenton for the arrival of baby girl Jayabella Indigo Shenton, born on March 23rd. I’m sure Saphire is delighted to  now have a baby sister to play with. The family of 4 will travel back to Zambia (from Australia) in a few days.

TIME FLIES when you are having fun they say…

For the past 6 weeks, I have been travelling in the USA promoting Shenton Safaris through sales calls, travel trade shows and more specifically with the Association for the Promotion of Tourism to Africa (APTA) road show “Discover Africa”. This took me from East to West and North to South: Boston, New York, Denver, Seattle, Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco. Phew – lots of flights and too many nights in dull hotels but well worth it. And yes, time flew! It is hard to believe that 6 weeks ago I was freezing in snowy Boston and only a few days ago I was in San Fran enjoying summery weather with temperatures well above 20 degrees centigrade.

Now I’m back in Belgium and catching up on the backlog. Reservations are still coming in nicely for this season.   Lots of catching up to do before heading to South Africa (Durban) early May for the largest African trade show: Indaba. And then back to the bush, finally. I’m sure time will fly for these coming weeks as well and before I know it I’ll be blogging from the comfort of my bush office at Kaingo!

Cheers for now!
