On this evening’s drive we had a wonderful sighting of a big male serval stalking in the grass and it was stalking a scrub hare, but was not successful.

He went on to look for more prey and got himself an elephant shrew which he took into the tall grass where we lost him.

Although servals are common in South Luangwa they are quite elusive and can be difficult to see or photograph. They are very slender and are keen tree climbers!
