Patrick and his guests spotted this big male Leopard resting in a Kigelia. As they stopped the vehicle, the Leopard started to descend, obviously unhappy with the intrusion into his mid-morning catnap.

As he moved down the tree, movement on the plains caught his eyes:

and a crescendo of noise erupted as a large troop of Yellow Baboon barked their displeasure at the Leopard’s presence. He descended slowly and carefully, seemingly without a care in the world,

until he reached the plain and then exploded into flat-eared, angry pursuit of the screaming Baboons.

But, judging by the short chase and his already bulging belly, he did not appear too interested in securing a meal and possibly was merely keeping the Baboons on their toes.
