One of our star attractions at Shenton Safaris is the beautiful juvenile Leopardess Chiphadzuwa, or `she who outshines the sun’. Recently, whilst on an afternoon drive out of Kaingo Camp, Patrick and his guests spotted her lazing on a termitarium in the gap between two trees. A mighty yawn put all of her impressive dentition on display: scissor-sharp incisors, sharp-pointed canines and shearing carnassials.
She shifted slightly, her hooded eyes leveled at the watchers,
and then she acted out of her previously observed character: she snarled, uttering a low-voiced growl.
Sometimes a young lady just wants to be left alone . . ..
