1st September

On a morning game drive, Sly and his guests spotted four lions sleeping by a riverbed. After that sighting, they saw Chipazua’s son, Chisomo, at Mwamba Bush Camp stalking impalas, but he was unsuccessful. He then moved to Pelican Lagoon, where they left him stalking zebra.
On their afternoon game drive, Sly and his guests tracked Chipazua at Fish Eagle Lagoon in a gully, stalking impalas and puku. They then spotted Taonga up a tree at Andy Loop as there were lions nearby. She later climbed down and began cleaning herself.

This is in front of the new deck at Mwamba Bush Camp – a fantastic addition for watching wildlife up close.

On a morning game drive, Sly and his guests found two nomadic male lions eating the remains of a kill, likely made by wild dogs. The location of the kill, along with the fact that wild dogs had been seen hunting in the area recently, suggests that the lions scavenged what was left behind after the pack had moved on.

On a morning game drive, Chisomo was seen near the main shelf, resting. Not too far away, they spotted two females and two sub-adult males from the Mwamba-Kaingo pride, all resting together and observing their surroundings.
