Probably the best sighting of an aardvark of all the aardvark sightings I have had before. This one was spectacular because we saw him for a least three minutes, and it was photographed by our guests, which had not happened recently.

Sadly my own pictures didn’t come out good because the aardvark was a bit far, and I had the wrong settings on my camera, which I couldn’t change quickly enough. But the most important thing was the longer sighting we had which I’ve never had before, all the 7 other sightings I have had in my career were just glimpses!

The aardvark was seen near what we thought was an active burrow, and we did place camera trap there for the next few nights, and manage to get a few videos of the aardvark! Great success.
