4:30 AM – Rise and Shine:

For those seeking the thrill of an early morning game drive, the day begins early. Awakened by the gentle pulse of the drum, guests emerge from their cozy chalets to the promise of an unforgettable safari experience.

Breakfast with a View:

Anticipating the day’s adventures, guests gather by the firepit to indulge in a magnificent breakfast spread. From Chef Catherine’s delectable bran muffins to freshly poached eggs and aromatic coffee, every bite is a celebration of the rich flavors of Africa. As the sun climbs higher in the sky, the mesmerizing panorama of the Luangwa River unfolds before them, alive with the sights and sounds of the wild.

5:00 AM – Into the Wilderness:

Led by seasoned guides, guests venture into the heart of South Luangwa National Park. From the thrill of encountering the iconic Mwamba-Kaingo lion pride to the captivating beauty of Chipadzua, our renowned resident leopard, each moment on safari is brimming with excitement and discovery.

Mid-Morning Serenity:

Amidst the African landscape, the safari vehicle pauses at The Ebony Grove, a tranquil oasis where guests can replenish their spirits with a light snack and a steaming cup of tea or coffee. Surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.

Back to Camp:

Returning from the morning adventure, guests can indulge in an outdoor bath with panoramic river views or lose themselves in the pages of a book on their private deck, unwinding before the next chapter of the day unfolds.

11:30 AM – Brunch Delights:

The beat of the drum signals the arrival of brunch, eagerly awaited by guests. With a wide selection of options available, from fresh salads harvested from the camp’s own vegetable garden to succulent meats cooked to perfection, along with other delicious meals, it promises to be a feast for the senses.

Afternoon Retreat:

Guests have the opportunity to relax and recharge, whether lounging in the chitenge or in the comfort of their tranquil room. It’s a time to reflect on the morning’s adventures and prepare for the excitement that awaits in the afternoon. Alternatively, guests can also visit our Mobile Hippo Hide to witness pods of hippos up close with amazing photographic opportunities. At 3:30 PM, afternoon tea will be served overlooking the Luangwa River. Homemade iced tea, iced coffee, and hot beverages, along with sweet and savory treats, will be enjoyed before embarking on your evening game drive.

4:00 PM – Evening Game Drive:

As the sun begins to descend, the wilderness stirs once more. Setting out on an evening game drive, guests are treated to the thrill of spotting nocturnal creatures and witnessing the drama of predator-prey interactions unfold. Additionally, we pause at a beautiful spot for a sundowner. Here, guests can savor a classic G&T and indulge in a yummy snack before continuing with the drive, soaking in the magic of the bush.

Returning to camp as the stars emerge overhead, guests are greeted with warm towels and the promise of a memorable dining experience. Gathered around the ancient leadwood bar, they indulge in a selection of fine wines, refreshing spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages. As tales of the day’s sightings and adventures are shared, anticipation builds for the culinary delights that await. Guests are then seated at a beautifully set table for a meticulously prepared four-course meal. As the night deepens, guests retreat to the comfort of their chalets, serenaded to sleep by the tranquil sounds of the African night, eagerly anticipating the adventure to resume again in the morning.
