Kind Words

“If you know where is paradise, then don’t go there, come to Kaingo, it is better!! Thank you very much, you make us feel like home.”

“Absolutely amazing. Thank you for the fantastic hospitality. The game viewing was incredible. We look forward to coming back again.”

“Kaingo- To everyone we have met at Kaingo. Your happy welcoming friendly natures have made our stay wonderful. We have had the most amazing experiences and all thanks to the superb knowledge and spotting skills of Yoram and Andrew, I leave with a determination of wanting to come back.
Mwamba- To all who have made these 2 days wonderful. Your friendly smiles and helpfulness. Tasty food has all been greatly appreciated.”

“This is such a beautiful, beautiful place with amazing wildlife & wonderful people, who have made our stay such a very special experience. We feel very lucky to have been able to share this place with you, albeit for a short item. Hope to return! Thank you so much for everything.”

‘Sad to leave such a beautiful place. The real bush experience. Went for my first bushwalk ever with fantastic guides. We encountered leopard, buffalo, having to walk between them. Learned a lot about little things. Near the car a group of 5 buffalos were waiting for us. Exciting! How great! Having been in their company. To all: many thanks for your hospitality. Very very enjoyable.’

“Kaingo, we are so blessed to have had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful camp for three nights! Despite our run-in with spiders the first night, we have felt right at home. Everyone here has been so friendly and welcoming which has only made our time more enjoyable. Thank you for everything, we hope to be back!”

‘Well, well, well, what an awesome place – I’ve had a smile slapped onto my face since I got here. The staff are A1, the food is 5 star, the accommodation deluxe and the whole way it’s put together is simply a class act. We’ve had leopards, lions and sneaky midnight hippos to make it exciting. Then napped our days away in between, at least when we’re not eating, which is always. Congratulations and thanks to everyone. In fact, come to think of it, I’m not leaving, no way, you can’t pick me up and make me… hey… put me down…NOOOO!’

‘I can’t thank you enough Derek, Jules and all the staff for making our holiday an experience never to be forgotten. We’ve seen all we wanted to see and much, much more ! I hope you will remember us for our world record of SIX LEOPARDS in one day! Your camps really are not to be missed and will always be the BEST PLACE to stay. Thank You and Thank You again.’

“The Encounter- The beast raises its head and our eyes meet. His breath makes curls of smoke come out; as the cold crisp air causes a shive to rake down my spine. He stands up with a calm stillness that only a predator can accomplish. The first step is unheard and his muscles ripple as his body sways back and forth. With a swagger of being in charge of the domain, completely in control of the situation as he slowly moved toward me. My body is frozen from the ancient aires he releases as he walks past me. These golden eyes with black flames dance with light and knowledge and power. Just his gaze makes my mind pause, drawing my focus, my heart pounding slowly. My instincts tell me to run or hide and become still…but I don’t. I know I can watch this massive and ancient beast walk by me safely. I am merely an object to him, just another piece of metal or rock in its path. In the jeep, all he sees is another part of landspace, all I see is a king of a wild and ancient kingdom.
Thank you for all the wonderful experiences you have given me on a journey of a lifetime. ”

“What a magical place: wild dogs, ellies walking through camp, lions roaring, hyenas whooping in the night. We will be talking about our stay for many years!”

“‘An absolutely amazing adventure! Many, many thanks for this fascinating experience – the walks and drives have truly blown us away! Seeing an elephant hours after birth, a lion digesting it’s latest meal within a few feet of us, and seeing so many hippos, crocs and rare birds have been extraordinary. Thank you to all of you for your warm hospitality. This start to our honeymoon is unforgettable! Come to visit us!”

“It’s been great meeting ‘The Kaingo Family’ after hearing about you all from Daryl for so many years. Thank you for everything you did for us! We loved our stay with you.”

“Although my time in Kaingo has been short, I wish I could stay here forever. I have seen so many amazing sights and met so many friendly people. From seeing the magnificent lions to the billions of stars that dotted the night sky, there is truly something special about Kaingo. Thank you Kaingo staff for making my stag truly memorable.”

“We have loved every moment of every day at Kaingo; made extra special by the brilliant guiding and the wonderful Zambians. Thank you.”

‘We came from the UK for a week in South Luangwa, we had been here before but our stay in Mwamba was fantastic. The viewing has been spectacular, leopards, lions, kudu, tawny ealges, etc etc just one amazing sight after another, what next? The camp is great, just the right level of luxury but still out in the bush. Looking up out of the roof at the wildlife in the trees and the stars at night was very cool. All the staff have been very friendly and fun, but also very efficient. So in conclusion, a fantastic place and a fantastic stay.’

“Thank you for such a wonderful South Luangwa Experience. Waking up to hippos, wondering the National Park and all of its fantastic animals and landscapes was the perfect vacation. Being able to spend it with my niece made it even more special. Whether we were out searching for leopard, African wild dogs or chameleon, – we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. ”

“It was good to be the first guest of the season. This bush camp was really more than a safari hotel. We are glad to have shared this wonderful experience with you. Sandy is the best guide we ever had at finding wild dogs. We will miss the drums and the outdoor breakfast.”

“What an experience, South Luangwa National Park is an amazing haven for wildlife and in this gem lies another gem ‘Kaingo Camp’. We were really not sure”

“We had an amazing time and fell in love with Zambia! Mwamba was a very good camp in a great location. The hides were a great bonus. The sleepout was fantastic, and although we didn’t see any game, it was wonderful being out in the open (and cooler) air under the stars, watching the moon go down!”

“Again we had a fantastic experience. It has been wonderful for the kids to be back as well (and we look forward to coming again). Until next time!
Nothing beats waking up to a sunrise on the rise at five in the morning. Thank you, Catherine, for the glorious food, as well to Agata and the amazing team. Can’t wait for the 4th time!”

“The 27 hours to get to Kaingo was well worth it. We only wish we had stayed longer. All of the staff made us feel so welcome, what amazing we saw. I never thought I would see painted wolves in the wild. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so very much.”

“A wonderful four days and nights at quite the best site in the Luangwa Valley. Great elephant, the great lion, great leopard and great company. We can’t wait to come back.”

‘When I dreamed of my first trip to Africa, I would never have thought of Zambia. However, thanks to Kaingo, Mwamba, and South Luangwa National Park, this has been more than a dream-fulfilling experience! I can’t imagine a more heavenly place on earth…’

“Thank you for a wonderful week and making my birthday and anniversary very special. The food was very yummy and the lemon cake was to die for. Thank you to all the staff for being so attentive, friendly and keeping me happy with mango juice. We have loved every minute at your wonderful camp. Lots of love and hugs! ”

“What can we say! We were the first visitors of the season and we were welcomed with such enthusiasm to a little piece of paradise. The staff, the guides (ours was the amazing Patrick!!) have been absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t have wished for more. Our game drives were just brilliant, we saw so much. The food was to die for- a huge thank you to Catherine + her team. And of course, Agata, thank you! We’ll be back, so bye for now!”

“What can we say – wonderful camp & wildlife but what makes Kaingo so special are the most lovely people. You are always made to feel like friends, not just guests. A pleasure & a privilege to stay here.”

“All my dreams have come true- cannot describe in words what a wonderful time we have had. Perfect in every way- yes yes we will be back hopefully with our family. A big thank you to everyone- you are all such fun and great to be around.”

“Beautiful Kaingo, thank you for a wonderful stay. The camp is truly a perfect place to get an authentic experience, relax, un-connect, and touch nature. Your staff are exceptional and Catherine’s beautiful food is the icing on the cake. We loved our stay”

“Dear Kaingo friends- we were at Mwamba in 2017 and had to return to this beautiful park and the Shenton camps! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kaingo- the small camp experience, the personal touches at every turn, the top rate guiding (Patrick), wonderful food, and the close to nature experience. We loved it all! Thank you! I’m sure we’ll be back, South Luangwa is a gem and so is Kaingo and Mwamba in the middle of it.”

“Mwamba- This is a very beautiful place. Our stay was too short but the first impression was WOW. The staff were very good and one day we hope to come back.
Kaingo- Thank you for having us. It’s a beautiful place with very good staff. I hope we can come back at a different time of year. Thank you!”

“An extraordinary experience. Magnificent nature with a base in these beautiful settings that you have created from which to enjoy it. We will never forget the atmosphere, kindness, food and incredible staff which have all contributed to our stay so much!”

“My visit to Africa is the first, and I am so glad that Kaingo was the first home away from home. I have never known such warm hospitality- friendly staff- and yummiest home food (love Catherine). In particular, I would like to thank Sandy and Andrew. Your depth of knowledge is outstanding and I have learnt much about this breathtaking country and its wildlife. Due to your skill and patience, I have encountered far more than I had hoped. To all at Kaingo- you are simply ‘first-class’ and I shall miss you all. ”

“Great to be back “home” with the Kaingo Family! Thanks to everyone who made our safari special once again.”

“Mwamba- What a wonderful stay! Waking up to the birds and monkeys, a lions grunt or the call of baboons is an experience we should have more often. The night in the star bed was the most peaceful sleep I’ve ever had. Thank you to the wonderful team at Mwamba, thank you Yvonne, Patrick, Paul for making it feel at home in nature. You’re incredible.
Kaingo- Dear lovelies, we can’t put into words how much we enjoyed our time here You team is the best, the food is exquisite, the location so beautiful. Can’t wait to return.”

“Thank you for the most incredible stay. What a place! I have never felt so relaxed and at one with nature. I’ll never forget this experience.”

“Overwhelmed at how wonderful Kaingo is with wonderful staff, beautiful accommodation, and outstanding wildlife. I’m sure you’ll see us again. ”

‘Many many thanks to all of you who made our first visit to Africa an absolutely spellbinding experience from the first minute to the last. It was way beyond our already high expectations!! Spending half our days at Mwamba and half at Kaingo seemed just right. Hats off to Meyam especially for such patience and depth of explanation on all our drives.’

“Dear Kaingo staff, from the moment we turned into the Kaingo camp sign we know this would be a magical moment. What’s not to love about a staff that is smiling when you pull up to the front door? From the time you step near the threshold of the communal hut, this becomes your home and you are treated like royalty. Yoram was a fantastic guide along with his sidekick Gideon. We were wrapped in arms of safety as we learned about life in the Luangwa Park. It is with tears in our eyes but a joyful heart that we leave this special place. Catherine and the food she prepared have made that all seem a dream. Full tummy. Thank you Agata & Gerard for your caring concern. Tried my bubble bath today. It is not that we say goodbye but see you again soon- warmly!”

‘What an experience! Wondeful situation. A real “Bush” experience. Staff cannot do enough for you. Food is great, company is great, guides are great – everything is GREAT. We will be back!’

“When you visit Africa, this is ‘the’ place one imagines! Great wildlife, accommodation, and service by a knowledgable and trained staff. The attention to detail is phenomenal; camera mounts on the vehicles, night lights, and good positioning by the guide. And yes, they know all the names and facts about the wildlife you could even imagine.”
